Being the child of both an artist and an architect has really given me a love and appreciation for color and pattern as well as unique and distinctive design, both in architecture as well as in art and everyday objects.  Add to that my love of all the colors, textures, and variations found in rocks and stones, it was inevitable that I would be making jewelry.

Bead crochet is particularly satisfying to me because it so seemlessly marries the use of a wide color palette with the technical challenge of designing and constructing a piece of jewelry.  I love how tactile they are and how they warm up to your body temperature as you wear them.  And I love the endless ways people have invented to wear my ropes.  It's exciting to see my completed work take on a totally new look in someone else's hands.
